Attorney Advertising. This website is an advertisement for legal services. The information on it is general in nature and is not legal advice. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
This website is published by Vasquez Law Firm, PLLC, a law firm with bona fide offices in North Carolina and Florida. The attorney responsible for this website’s content is William J. Vasquez (North Carolina State Bar No. 43410), whose principal office is located at 612 S. Brightleaf Blvd, Smithfield, NC 27577.
Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the website operated by Vasquez Law Firm, PLLC (the “Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at vasquezlawnc.com, together with any pages, content, downloadable guides, and tools made available through it (collectively, the “Site”). These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the Firm. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or otherwise using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Where the Site presents an “I Agree” checkbox, button, or similar control, clicking or selecting it is an additional, affirmative acceptance of these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Site.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. If you are using the Site on behalf of another person or an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on their behalf.
3. Informational Purpose Only, Not Legal Advice
All content on the Site, including articles, downloadable guides, frequently asked questions, and the results produced by any tool, is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney about your specific situation.
The law changes over time and varies by jurisdiction and by the facts of each matter. You should not act, or refrain from acting, based on anything on the Site without first seeking advice from a qualified attorney licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.
4. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Using the Site, reading its content, downloading a guide, using any tool, or submitting information through a contact or consultation form does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and the Firm.
An attorney-client relationship is formed only after the Firm has completed a conflict-of-interest check and both you and the Firm have signed a written engagement agreement (and any required retainer has been arranged). Until that happens, the Firm is not your attorney and has no duty to take any action on your behalf, including meeting any deadline.
5. Case-Status Tools, Accuracy & Non-Affiliation
The Site offers tools that retrieve case information, including a “My Case” tool that looks up immigration court information using an Alien Registration Number (“A-Number”) from the Executive Office for Immigration Review (“EOIR”), and a “USCIS Case Status” checker that retrieves status information from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) using a receipt number.
These tools display data obtained from government systems and third-party sources. That data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. You should always confirm any information against the official notices you receive and against your own EOIR or USCIS account. Do not rely on a tool’s output to determine a hearing date, filing deadline, or any other time-sensitive matter.
The Firm is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of EOIR, USCIS, the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, or any other government agency. Tool output is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without any warranty of accuracy or completeness.
6. Authorized Use of Lookup Tools
You may use the case-status and lookup tools only to query A-Numbers, receipt numbers, or other identifiers that belong to you or that you are otherwise legally authorized to access. You may not use any tool to query information about another person without authorization. You may not perform bulk, automated, scripted, or scraping queries, and you may not use the tools in any way that places an unreasonable load on the Site or the underlying government systems.
7. “AS IS,” No Warranties
The Site, its content, its guides, and its tools are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without representations or warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm and its attorneys, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Site, its content, or its tools, even if the Firm has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law or under the Rules of Professional Conduct governing attorneys.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, articles, downloadable guides, graphics, logos, the design and user interface of the tools, and the “Vasquez Law Firm” name and marks, is owned by the Firm or its licensors and is protected by United States and international intellectual-property laws. The Firm grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other use, including copying, reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative works, requires the Firm’s prior written permission.
10. User Submissions and No-Confidential-Information Warning
Do not send confidential, privileged, or time-sensitive information through the Site. Because no attorney-client relationship exists until a written engagement is signed, no attorney-client privilege attaches to anything you submit through a form, email, or tool beforehand, and we cannot guarantee that such information will remain confidential. Do not rely on any form, message, or tool to meet a legal deadline.
When you submit information through the Site, you grant the Firm a limited license to use that information for the purpose of reviewing your inquiry and responding to you. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may link to or rely on third-party websites and services, including hCaptcha (used to detect automated abuse), the EOIR and USCIS government systems, and third-party payment processors. The Firm does not control these third parties, and their own terms and privacy policies govern your use of their services. A link or integration does not imply the Firm’s endorsement of, or responsibility for, any third party’s content, products, or practices.
12. Prohibited Conduct
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Scrape, harvest, or use automated means to access or collect data from the Site;
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features or access controls;
- Query A-Numbers, receipt numbers, or other identifiers you are not authorized to access;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of any tool or feature;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- Introduce malware or otherwise interfere with the proper functioning of the Site.
13. Testimonials and Case Results
Any testimonials, reviews, or case results shown on the Site are presented as part of attorney advertising.
Past results do not guarantee, warrant, or predict future outcomes. You may not obtain the same or similar results. Testimonials and depictions shown on the Site are representative, may not reflect actual clients, and should not be understood as a promise or guarantee about your matter. Every case is different and depends on its own facts and circumstances.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Firm and its attorneys, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the Site, your unauthorized use of any lookup tool, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
15. Governing Law, Venue, and Controlling Language
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the Dispute Resolution section below, you agree that the state and federal courts located in or serving Johnston County, North Carolina, will have venue over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site.
The Site is published in English and Spanish. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between the English version and a translation, the English version controls.
If you are a Florida resident, nothing in these Terms waives any consumer or other protection that cannot be waived under Florida law, and you retain those non-waivable protections.
16. Dispute Resolution
Before filing any claim, you agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the Firm using the information in the Contact section and giving the Firm a reasonable opportunity to respond.
If the dispute is not resolved informally, it may be brought in the courts of North Carolina as described above. These Terms do not require binding arbitration and do not contain a class-action waiver. Your right to a jury trial, where it otherwise applies, is preserved.
17. Changes to These Terms
The Firm may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by posting an updated version on this page and revising the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last Updated” date below tells you when these Terms were last revised.

19. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and the Firm regarding your use of the Site, and they replace any prior agreements on that subject.
